Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 14, 1944. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon, Elliott and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. Commis-
sioner Moore absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 7th, 1944 were read and ap-
proved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1944 received as
follows:
Mrs. Emma Boyd
Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted
for day driving only.
James H. Bagley
Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.

A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering of Merrill
Street from the south line of Wilson Street to the north line of Republic Avenue.
Petition was referred to the City Manager.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitleds "A Resolution
relating to and providing for the sale of certain real estate by the City of
Salina unto John A. Ross."
Commissioner Elliott moved that resolution be adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgen-
stern, Breon, Elliott and Price (4) Nayss (0) Commissioner Moore absent. Mayor
i approved the resolution and it is numbered 856.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 215 of Resolution Book
Number 3.
A resolttion was introduced for first reading entitleds "A Resolution

A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Republic Avenue from the west
line of Sheridan Street to'he east line of Hancock Street.w Reso ution was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.

An easement for the construction of an eight -inch sewer No. 191, across
Lots 2,3,4 and 5, Surveyor's Plat 12, Salina, Kansas, was presented, and on motion
same vas ordered filed.
On motion, the City Manager was authorized to meet the Regular Payroll of
February 28th, 1944. Motion adopted.
