Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 3, 1944.
Meeting was cslled to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called
and Commissioners Morgenstern, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney
Clark responded. Commissioner Breon absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 27, 1943 and Regular
Meeting of December 31, 1943 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
regulating pawnbrokers and purchasers of second hand jewelry, and providing
for punishment thereof." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Com-
missioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for crossing Fourteenth Street, Fifteenth Street,
Railroad Street, Elm Street, Chicago Street, Olive Street and adjacent
alleys, City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, by the Atchison, Topeka
and Santa Fe Railway Company tracks at grade and the maintenance thereof."
Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
