Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 27, 1943.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and
Commissioners Morgenstern, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney Clark
responded. Commissioner Breen absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 20, 1943 were read and
approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the levying of an occupational and license tax upon, and the
regulation of certain callings, trades, professions, businesses and occupations
hereinafter specified, which are conducted, pursued, c arried on and operated
within the City of Salina; providing penalties for the violation of its terms
and repealing Ordinances No. 2640, 1688, 1668, 2366, 1741, 5022, 5027, 2226,
2504, 3043, 3225, 3313, 3651, 4075, 3425 and 3139."
On motion of Commissioner Moore the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Elliott, Moore and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commis-
sioner Breen absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5042.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned
to meet in regular session Friday, December 31, 1942 at 11:45 A. M.
