COMMISSION_H'RS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISS IONERS ROOM,
SALIVA, KANSAS.
DECEMBER 6th, 1943
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 6, 1943. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 29th, 1943 and Regular
Meeting of November 30th, 1943 were read and approved as read.
Pursuant to notice published in the Salina Journal bid was received for
the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 191 as follows:
H. J. Taylor Construction Company, Salina, Kansas
Acting City Engineers Estimate of Cost for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Number 191 was read.
Bid was tabulated by the feting City Engineer.
Commissioner Elliott moved that the contract be awarded to H. J. Taylor
Construction Company as per bid submitted, and that the Mayor be authorized to
sign contract on behalf of the City of Salina for such improvement in accordance
with such proposal and the form of contract and specifications attached thereto,
and referred to therein. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Moore moved that the petition received from the Board of
County Commissioners asking for the rezoning of Block 4, Bond's Addition to the
City of Salina, Kansas be rejected. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Elliott moved that the petition asking for the vacating of
alleys in Blocks One (1) and Two (2) Pleasant View Addition to the City of Salina,
Kansas be rejected. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
