COMMISSIONERS ROOM,

NOVEMBER 29, 1943
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 29, 1943. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Elliott and Price responded. Commissioners Breon and Moore and City
Attorney Clark absent.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 22nd, 1943 were read and ap-
proved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as
follows:
Dorothy L. Bennett
Cecelia A. Young

Commissioner Price moved that applications be approved and license granted
for day driving only. Motion adopted.
City Manager Allison reported that on investigation he found the bid of
H. J. Taylor Construction Company, submitted to the Board of Commissioners November
22nd, 1943, for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 191, to be over
the Engineer's estimate, and recommended that the City re -advertise for bids for
said sewer. Report adopted by the Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Price moved that the bid of H. J. Taylor Construction Company,
submitted to the Board of Commissioners November 22nd, 1943, for the construction
of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 191 be rejected, and that the City Clerk be in-
structed to re -advertise for bids to be received up to and including Monday, December
6th, 1943 at 7x30 P. M. Motion adopted.
A motion was made that in the future, all Monday meetings of the Board of
Commissioners be held at 7:30 P. M. instead of 4:30 P. M. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned to
meet in regular session, Tuesday, November 30th, 1943 at twelve o'clock noon.
