10-18-1943 MinutesY— c 0 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING I I COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. OCTOBER 18, 1943 i Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 18, 1943. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Elliott and Moors and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioners Breon and Price absent. j i The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 11th, 1943 and Regular Meeting of October 15th, 1943 were read and approved as read. Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 were received as follows: James B. Dryden Wayne D. Turner Commissioner Moore moved that applications be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Application was received from a B. Mundy, asking for permission to operate his bowling alley on Sundays from noon until eleven o'clock P. M. The matter was referred to the Welfare Board. i Mrs. Fern Beebe, d/b/a "Lunch Box" asked for permission to transfer her Beer License from 223 South Santa Fe Avenue to 226 South Santa Fe Avenue. Com- missioner Elliott moved that permission be granted. Motion adopted. Gas Fitters Bond was received from John Gila, and on motion of Commissioner Moore the bond was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. An application was received from Roy Divilbiss asking permission to move a house from the country through the north part of the City. Application was referred to the City Manager. i An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Elliott the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Elliott and Moore (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Breon and Price absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-215. City Manager Allison called the attention to the Commissioners of the condition of the City Buildings on Putnam Avenue and on the corner of Seventh and Decatur. On motion he was authorized to have the buildings painted and repaired. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Moore the Board of Commissioners adjourned. a - City Clerk i i i i i i i I
