COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING

Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 31, 1943. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon, Elliott and Price responded. Commissioner Moore absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 23, 1943, were read and
approved as read.
Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as
follows:
Raymond D. Howry
Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Applicationsfor Cereal Malt Beverage for the year 1943 received as
follows:

Commissioner Price moved that applications be approved and license granted,
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had:
Ayes: Price and Elliott (2) Nays: Breon (1) Commissioner Morgenstern not
voting. Commissioner Moore absent.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Elliott the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon, Elliott and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner
Moore absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 210-A.
Mausoleum Deed for the sale of Crypts numbered 362 and 363 in the Hillcrest
Memorial Mausoleum to Chas. 9. Gillum was presented, and on motion of Commissioner
Price the Mayor was authorized to sign deed on behalf of the City of Salina.
Motion adopted.
Bond was presented for Ellis Jefferson Allison as City Manager of the City
of Salina, Kansas, and on motion of Commissioner Breon bond was approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Elliott the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
