AUGUST 23, 1943.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 23, 1943.
Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Price, the roll was called and
Commissioners Price, Breon and Elliott responded. Commissioners Morgenstern
and Moore absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 14th, 1943, were read
and approved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received
as follows:
W. F. Clements
Wayne L. Green
Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved and license
granted. Motion adopted.
Mr. H. N. Eller of the Lions Club, appeared before the Board of Com-
missioners and asked that Carnival License fee be waived for 4-H Club Fair
to be held in Kenwood Park September 1, 2 and 3rd, 1943. Commissioner
Breon moved that license fee be waived. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropria-
tion for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the follov+dng vote
was had; Ayes: Price, Breon and Elliott (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners
Morgenstern and Moore absent. Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it !
is numbered 209-A. I
On motion of Commissioner Elliott the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
