COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISS ION ERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
AUGUST 14, 1943.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 14, 1943. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon and Moore responded. Commissioners Elliott and Price
absent.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 11, 1943 were read and ap-
proved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims.
On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon and Moore (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Elliott
and Price absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 208-A. j
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other purposes by the City of
Salina, Kansas, for the year 1944."
On motion of Commissioner Moore the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followng vote was
had: Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon and Moore (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Elliott
and Price absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5034.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of cutting
weeds on certain lots and parts of lots, and the parkways abutting thereon in the
City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon and Moore (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Elliott
and Price absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5035.
On motion of Commissioner Moore the Board of Commissioners adjourned to
meet in Regular Session, Monday, August 23rd, 1943 at 4:30 P. M.
