JULY 31, 1943
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners July 31, 1943. Meeting
was called to order by Acting Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners
Price, Elliott and Moore responded. Commissioners Morgenstern and Breon absent.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropria-
tion for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Elliott the ordinance was read and adopted
by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Price, Elliott and Moore (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners
Morgenstern and Breon absent.
g Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it
is numbered 207-A.
A petition was presented asking for the rezoning of Lots 8 and 9,
Replat of Block 5, Oakdale Addition to the City of Salina, so the owners may
remodel the residence located thereon into apartments under the Home Owners
Loan Corporation plan. Referred to the City Planning Commission.
A communication was read from the Chamber of Commerce in reply to
request made by the City Officials at the meeting of July 19th, of the Board
of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and the City Officials, that considera-
tion be given by the Chamber of Commneroe to vacating the vault, the north and
the northwest rooms on the third floor of the City Hall, now being occupied by
the Chamber of Commerce. Ordered filed.
On motion of Commissioner Moore the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
