JULY 26, 1943
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners July 26, 1943. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Elliott, Moore and Price responded. Commissioner Breon absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 19th, 1943 were read and ap-
proved a s read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as
follows:
Rose Sivley
Commissioner Elliott moved that application be approved and license
granted for day driving only. Motion adopted.
Carl Victor Kohls
Karl Gordon
Commissioner Elliott moved that application be approved and license
granted. Motion adopted.
Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License for the year 1943 received
as follows:

Commissioner Price moved that application be approved and license granted,
subject to the approval of R. S. Fassnacht, Health Director and T. L. Bayne,
Building Inspector. Motion adopted.
Trust Deed, with a deposit of $75.00 was received from Clay Bell,
Administrator of the Estate of Elisabeth M. Bell, deceased, for perpetual care
of the south one-half of Lot Number 2, Block 17, in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery of
Salina, Kansas.
Commissioner Price moved that Trust Deed be approved by the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, and that the City Treasurer be
instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Lot Owners Endowment
Fund as provided by Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Salina.. Motion
adopted.
A petition was presented protesting against the erection of a horse
barn and livery stable on Lots 22 and 24, Block 4, Bond's Addition to the City
of Salina, Kansas. Petition was referred to the City Planning Commission.
City Manager Banker submitted to the Board of Commissioners the tentative
budget for the year 1944. On motion of Commissioner Elliott, Monday, August 9th,
1943 at 5:00 P. M. was fixed as the date for public hearing on said budget as
provided by law. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Moore the Board of Commissioners adjourned to
meet in regular session, Saturday, July 31, 1943 at twelve o'clock noon.
