06-07-1943 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JUNE 7, 1943. Regular Meeting of the Board of commissioners June 7, 1943. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Norris responded. Morgenstern, Breon, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 1, 1943, were read and ap- proved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 3188 by adding certain territory to the "B" Residence Use District as defined in Section 4 of said ordinance." On motion of Co=aissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was (0) had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon, Elliott, Moore and Price (5) Nays: Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5031. Rau Construction Company asked permission to construct a four -foot sidewalk on the east side of Montrose Avenue from Prescott Avenue to Morrison Avenue. On motion thb request was rejected by the Board of Commissioners. On motion of Commissioner Price the City Manager was instructed to insure the three garbage trucks recently purchased by the City for $2500.00 per truck, against fire and windstorm. Mayor Morgenstern submitted for appointment the names of the following to serve on the Plumbers Examining Board: Plumbers Examining Board: Thos. L. Bayne, Chairman, for a term of one year from May 1, 1943. Dan G. Kastner, Master Plumber, for a term of one year from May 1, 1943 George Rishel, Journeyman Plumber, for a term of one year from May 1, 1943 waterworks Advisory Board: Glenn Mason, for a term ending January 1, 1944, to fill vacancy created by the resignation of J.H.Moore,Jr. who resigned April 19, 1943.
