JUNE 1, 1943.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 1, 1943. Meeting was
called to order by Acting Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners
Price, Breon, Elliott and Moore and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner j
Morgenstern absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 24, 1943 and Regular Meeting
of May 29th, 1943 were read and approved as read.

Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received
as follows:

Commissioner Elliott moved that application be approved and license
granted. Motion adopted.

Commissioner Breon moved that application be rejected by the Board of
Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Mausoleum Deed for the sale of Crypts numbered 142 and 141 in the Hillcrest
Memorial Mausoleum to Selma Woodard, was presented, and on motion of Commissioner
Elliott the Mayor was authorized to sign deed on behalf of the City of Salina.

Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
amending Ordinance No. 3188 by adding certain territory to the "B" Residence Use
District as defined in Section 4 of said Ordinance." Ordinance was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
A communication was received from Chief of Police, D. K. Fitch, in
reference to the arrest of George Holzmeister, for permitting gambling in his
Pool Hall at 116 South Fifth Street, Salina, Kansas. Communication was filed
for further consideration.
Commissioner Moore moved that the City Manager be authorized to insure
three garbage trucks recently purchased by the City of Salina. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissionw Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
