Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 24, 1943. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgen-
stern, Breon, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney Norris responded.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 170 1943 were read and approved
as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as
follows:
'Elmer D. Kihn
Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Mrs. Elverda Stophel
Commissioner Price moved that application be approved and license granted,
for day driving only. Motion adopted.
J. H. Coffman appeared before the Board of Commissioners pursuant to order
made at the meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 14, 1943, and notice served
on him May 15, 1943, for hearing on revocation of Cereal Malt Beverage License Num-
ber 7741 issued January,16th, 1943 to J. H. Coffman, d/b/a Jaokfs Well at 1421 North
Santa Fe Avenue in Salina, Kansas, on account of his conviction in the Police Court
of drunkenness and permitting an intoxicated person or persons to remain in his
place of business. Commissioner Breon moved that license be revoked after the
expiration of ten days from May 24, 1943. Motion was duly carried by the unanimous
vote of the Board of Commissioners,and the City Clerk was instructed to revoke such
license on his records.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading on May 17th, 1943 entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 25 of Ordinance No. 4952, relating to taxicabs, and
repealing said original section 25", was read, and on motion of Commissioner Elliott
action on same was deferred for two weeks. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned to
meet in regular session Saturday, May 29th, 1943 at 11;45 A. M.
