W. (Bill) Gehrean, Jr., and others appeared regarding program of Dudes
and Dames organization, and that they are planning a program for the Youth of Salina
to teach them to square dance. Commissioner King made motion that the City
Commissioners acknowledge it would be a good program and very good for the youth of
the City. Carried.
Wm. Hines and others appeared regarding lights for Tennis Courts. Referred
to City lIanager.
Building application No. 2175 was presented from Charles Early, asking for
four -foot setback. Commissioner Webb moved to allow four -foot setback from
property line. Carried.
Letter presented from L. H. Day, Chief of Police, regarding Taxicab Drivers
License No. 80 issued to Nillie A. Pellusch. Commissioner Stephenson moved that
taxicab drivers license be revoked. Carried.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution
relating to the paving of Eleventh Street from the south line of Pacific Avenue
to the north line of Harsh Street."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the resolution was adopted as read and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
resolution and it is numbered 1110.
Above resolution is recorded in full on Page 116, Resolution Book Number 4.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
vidin�- for the vacation of a portion of Riverside Drive, subject to reservations,
in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5374.
Applications for Taxicab Drivers Licenses Numbered 118 and 119 presented,
and on motion of Commissioner Ramsey approved by the Board of Commissioners. kotion
adopted.

City Planning Commission.

er Stephenson moved that application be approved and on roll call the following

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had: Ayes: Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and 1Vebb (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered A-460.
Letter was presented from City Planning Commission recommending the approval
of the plat for xaorningside Addition. Commissioner King moved to accept recommenda-
tion and approve plat. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance rati-
fying and confirming the contract of Johnson Brothers Construction Company and Brown
and Brown, Inc. for the building of a Sewage Disposal Plant for the City of Salina,
Kansas." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
City Manager was instructed to check about spraying of trees.
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
