That on Friday, April
8th, 1949, the
Board of Commission-
ers
met as a Board of Canvassers
(ex -officio) as
provided by law to canvass the vote
cast
at the Regular City Election held in Salina,
Kansas, April
5, 1949.
Meeting
was called to order by ivayor Stedham,
the roll
was called
and Com-
missioners
Stedham,
Noyce
and Price
and City Attorney Clark responded.
Commissioners
Lindgren
and Stephenson absent.
The returns
of the City
Election were presented
by the
City Clerk
and opened
by the iv,ayor in
the presence of the
Commissioners
assembled, duly canvassed
and the
result declared.
On m
otion of
Commissioner Noyce the City Clerk was
instructed
to spread upon the Journal
the result
of the canvass which is done as follows:

Commissioner Price the
report and findings of the Canvassing

Board
were received
and ordered spread upon
the records and that Proposition to issue
General Obligation
Bonds not to exceed X175,000.00
carried. Motion adopted.
On motion of
Commissioner Noyce, the
City Attorney was given authority to
extend hearing before County Commissioners on petition for addition to City limits
until
newly elected
Commissioners are sworn
in and assume the office of City Com-
missioner. On roll call the following vote was had; Ayes: Price, Noyce and Stedham
(3)
mays: (0)
Commissioners Lindgren and Stephenson absent.
On motion of
Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
