Commissionerioyce absent. i The minutes of the Regular Leeting of January 31, 1949 were read and approved as read. Applications for Taxicab llrivers License, numbered 85 to 95 inclusive, for the year 1949, were presented, and on motion of Commissioner Price approved by the Board of Commissioners. Lotion adopted. Application for Cereal Lalt Beverage License for tl,e year 1949 presented from Jerle tTYoody, d/b/a "Town Tavern", at 156 North Santa Fe Avenue. Commissioner Lindgren moved that application be approved and license granted. IVI -otion adopted. Application for taxicab license for the first half of 1949 presented from. Paul Tyler of the Bell Taxi. On motion of Commissioner Price application was approved and license granted by the Board of Commissioners. 1�otion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the inclusion of certain lands in the Cityof Salina, iansas in the "C" Commercial District as that district is defined by Section 5 of Ordinance Number 3188 and the amendments thereto and providing for the proper use thereof." On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption tine roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stedham, Lindgren, Price and Stephenson (4) Nays: (0) Corm:;issioner Royce absent. i,ayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5363. An ordinance vias introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stedham, Lindgren, Price and Stephenson (4) Nays: (0) Corrimission- er idoyce abser:t. 1,ayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-451. A petition was presented for the rezoni:ig the Vyest 60 feet of Lots 30 and 32, Block 8, Bond's Addition from "A" Residential to 'Bt' Residential District. i-etition was referred to the City Planning Commission.
