Leeting was called to order by Layor Stedham, the roll was called and Commissioners Stedham, X. Royce and Stephenson and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioners Lindgren and Price absent,. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 10th, 1949 were read and approved as read. Applications for Taxicab Drivers License Numbers 43 and 44 and :lumbers 47 to 68, inclusive, for the year 1919 were presented and on motion of Commissioner Stephenson all were approved by the Board of Commissioners with the exception of T umber 66 issued to Arthur 1.attison. Iviotionadopted. follows: Application for Taxi -cab Drivers License for the year 1919 presented as Lloyd H. Cook Commissioner Stephenson moved that application be rejected by the Board of Commissioners. I,Iotionadopted. Applications were presented for Beer License for the year 1949 from lirs. Harry Paugh and the Knights of Columbus. Commissioner Stephenson moved that applications be approved and license granted. F:otionadopted. No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning of Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, on i.elfth Street, ',weaver's Addition, from "C" Commercial to "D" Light Industrial Dis- trict. Commissioner Stephenson moved that ordinance be introduced on first .reading. An ordinance was introduced o n first reading entitled: "An ordinance pro- viding for tl.e rezoningof certain tracts of land in the City of Salina and providing for the proper use of each thereof." An ordinance was introduced on second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- ing for the rezoning of certain tracts of land in the City of Salina and providing for the proper use of each thereof." On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stcdham, Noyce and Stephenson (3) hays: l0) Commissioners Price and Lindgren absent. I::ayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5360. An ordinance was introduced for .first reading entitled: "An ordinance rait- fying and confirming a contract with the II. J. Taylor Construct -on Company for the construction of certai-n lateral sanitary sewers in the City of Salina heretofore des- ignated as Lateral Sanitary Sewers Districts 234 and 235, and providing for the issuanc( of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending issuance and sale of bonds." Ordinance was referred totl.e Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating to the issuance of Temporarir Motes in the amount of .,1605.75; -2423.00; and ;` 615.117." On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stedham, Royce and Stephenson (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Lindgren and Price absent. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted by i sections and on its final adoption tine roll was called and the following vote was had; AiS : Stedham, Noyce and Stephenson (3) flays: (0) Commissioners Price and Lindgren absent.
