Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 9, 1948- Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stedham, the roll was called and Commissioners Stedham, Lindgren, Noyce and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioners Price and Stephenson absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 2, 1948 were read and approved as read. City Engineer submitted plans and specifications for the curbing, gutter- ing and/or paving certain streets provided for in Ordinances numbered 5326,5325 and 5327. Commissioner Lindgren moved that plans and specifications be approved by the Board of Commissioners and that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids to be received up to and including Monday, August 30, 1948 at 7:30 o'clock P. M. Motion adopted. Mayor appointed J. Earl Wyatt, Wm. F. Grosser, Jr. and John Frederick to act as appraisers in ascertaining the valuation of certain lots and pieces of ground liable to special assessment for the cost of curbing, guttering and/or paving certain streets provided for in Ordinances numbered 5293, 5294, 5295, 5304, 5325, 5326 and 5327. Commissioner Noyce moved that appointments be con- firmed by the Board of Commissioners. Motion a dopted. City Engineer submitted Partial Estimate in the amount of $16,587.11 to H.J. Taylor Construction Company for Job Number 243. Commissioner Noyce moved that same be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. A petition was presented for the curbing and guttering Wood Avenue from Crawford Avenue to lbnd Street. Referred to City Manager. A petition was presented for sanitary sewer on Wood Avenue from Crawford Avenue to Bond Street. Referred to City Manager. A petition was presented for water service on Wood Avenue from Crawford Avenue to Bond Street. Referred to City Manager. A petition was presented for sidewalk on east line of Lot 30, HLock 11, Pacific Addition. Referred to City Manager. A petition was presented from W.. E. Walters for the rezoning of Lot 3, Block 7, Riverside Park Addition to "C" Commercial District. Referred to City Planning Commission. A petition was presented for the rezoning the North 1/2 Lot 3, (Less west 15 feet) and the North 1/2 Lot 1, University Place, in University Addition, from Class "A" Residential to Class "B" Residential.
