12-30-1947 Minutesn 1 L COMIE SSION RS PROCEEDINGS, SPECIAL CALLED MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. DECEMBER 30, 1947 Special Called Meeting of the Bard of Commissioners December 30, 1947. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Noyce, the roll was called and Commissioners Noyce, Lindgren and Stephenson and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioners Price and Stedham absent. Call for Special Meeting read as follows: - CALL FOR SPECIAL COMIE SSION MEETING ------------------- Salina, Kansas. December 30, 1947 To the Board of Commissioners: A Special Meeting of the Board of Commis- sioners is hereby called to be held at the City Hall, December 30, 1947 at 5:00 o'clock P. %. The object of said meeting being to open and consider bids received December 29th, 1947 for Nain Sanitary Sewer "W" and Lateral Sanitary Sewers 218 and 219. ATTEST: Chas. E. Lindgren, Jr. Commissioner Pursuant to notice published in the official City paper bids were received for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers numbered 218 and 219 and for blain Sanitary Sewer "W", as follows: Brown L Brown Construction Company, Salina, Kansas x$26,318.75 H.J. Taylor Construction Company, Salina, Kansas 24,856.50 City Engineer's Estimate of Cost in the amount of x$26,536.60 was read. Bids were tabulated by the City Engineer. Commissioner Lindgren moved that contract for the construction of Sanitary Sewers numbered 218 and 219 and Main Sanitary Sewer "'IN" be awarded to H. J. Taylor Construction Company, Salina, Kansas, as per bid submitted in the amount of 42Y,856.50; and that Mayor be authorized to sign contract on behalf of the City of Salina for such improvements in accordance with such proposal and the form of con- tract and specifications attached thereto and referred to therein, and that check be returned to unsuccessful bidder. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
