BE IT REi,6i;MBERED, that on Friday, June 27th, 1947, the Board of Commis-
sioners met as a Board of Canvassers (ex -officio) as provided by law, to canvass
the vote cast at the Bond Election held in Salina, Kansas, June 24, 1947•
The meeting was called to order by kayor Noyce, the roll was called and
Commissioners 1Joyce, Lindgren, Stedham and Stephenson responded. Commissioner Price
and City Attorney Clark absent.
The returns of the Bond Election were presented by the City Clerk and opened
in the presence of the Commissioners assembled, duly canvassed and the result declared,
and the City Clerk was directed by vote of the Board to spread upon the Journal the
result of the canvass which is done as follows:
Proposition Number 1, (Disposal Plant)
For the proposition - - - 9014
Against the proposition- - 170
Proposition Number 2, (Airport)
For the proposition - - - 588
Against the proposition - 482
On motion of Commissioner Stedham the report and findings of the Canvassing
Board were received and ordered spread upon the records, and that Propositions Piumbered
ine and Two carried. Motion adopted. i
On motion of Commissioner Stedham the Board of Canvassers adjourned.
