Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 7, 19 47. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price, Breon,
Moore, Noyce and Stedham and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 31, 1947 and Canvassing Board
Meeting of April 4, 1947 were read and approved as read.
Mr. W. H. Tuttle appeared before the Board of Commission rs regarding
building permit.for enclosing front porch at his residence locate d at 1109 South
Ninth Street. Referred to City Manager and Building Inspector.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 194 7 presented as
follows:

Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved an d license granted.
Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the rezoning of Lot 1 9, Block 42 Pacific
Addition from "A" Residential to "C" Commercial. Petition referr ed to the City
Planning Commission.
Trust Deeds, with a deposit of $200.00 were received from George 0. P. Seitz,
for the perpetucal care of Lot 962 Block "All (Seitz lot); and Lot 61 Block 23,
(Seitz-Gemmill lot) in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, Kansas. Commissioner
Noyce moved that Deeds be approved and that the City Treasurer be instructed to
place deposit in the Gypsum_Hill Cemetery Lot Owners Endowment Fu nd as provided by
Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Salina, Kansas. Lotion adop ted.
Trust Deed, with a deposit of $75.00 was received from Mr s. Roy M. Crabtree
for the perpetual care of the South 1/2of Lot 213, Block 11, in t he Gypsum Hill
Cemetery. Commissioner Noyce moved that Deed be approved by the Board of Commis-
sioners and that the City Treasurer be instructed to place the de posit in the Gypsum
Hill Cemetery Lot Owners Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance No. 3530 of the
City of Salina, Kansas. Motion adopted.
Concrete construction Bond was presented from Henry Johnson and on motion
of Commissioner Moore approved by the Board of Commissioners. Mo tion adopted.
Electrician's Municipal Bond presented from Ray Mong and L. H. Hammond ,
and on motion of Commissioner Moore approved by the Board of Comm issioners.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Fourth Street from the north
line of Pacific Avenue to the center line of Euclid Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the resolution was adopte d as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Price, Breon, Moore, Noyce and Stedham (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the reso-
lution and it is numbered 977.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
creating and defining certain Main Sewer District in the City of Salina, designated
as Main Sewer District "T"; providing for the cost thereof and f or the levying of
special assessments against the property in such district for the payment of such
cost, and for the issuing of bonds therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read an d adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following v ote was had; Ayes:
Price, Breon, Moore, Noyce and Stedham (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is numbered 5210.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance

the levying of special assessments against the property in such district for the
payment of such cost, and for the issuing of bonds therefor."

had; Ayes: Price, Breon, Moore, Noyce and Stedham (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered 5211.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading enti tied: "An ordinance
creating and defining Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts in the City of Salina desig-
nated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts No. 210, 211, 212 and 213, and providing
for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers in said La teral Sanitary Sewer Dis-
tricts No. 210, 211, 212 and 213 so created, and providing for the payment of the
cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said
districts for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of
bonds to pay the cost thereof."

Application Number 1010, asking for Building Permit to build a lumber shed
in the 100 Block on South Fourth Street was presented from E. L. Larson. Commissioner
Moore moved that application not be granted. Motion ado pted.
On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commis sioners adjourned.
