BE IT REMEMBERED, that on Friday, April 4th,
1947, the Board of Commissioners
met as
a Board
of Canvassers (ex -officio)
as provided by law, to
canvass the vote cast
I at the
Regular
City Election held in Salina, Kansas,
April 1, 1947.
The Meeting was
called to order by
Mayor Price, the roll was called
and
Commis-sioners
Price,
Breon, Moore, Noyce a nd Stedham responded. City
Attorney
Clark absent.
The returns of the City Election were presented by the City Clerk and
opened
by the
Mayor in the presence of the Commissioners assembled, duly canvassed
and the
result
declared, and the City Clerk was directed by vote of the
Board to
spread upon
the Journal
the result
of the canvass which is done
as follows:

of the canvass that the following named persons are elected to the offices to be
filled:

On motion of Commissioner Breon the City Clerk made record as to the result
of the canvass of the following propositions:
Proposition No. 1, relating to the issuing of bonds in the amount of
$65,000.00 for purchasing la nd for park purposes, and the cost of
erecting buildings on and improving the public park system of said City.
For the proposition 2548

Proposition for issuing bonds in the amount of $2032250.00 for
improving Salina Municipal Airport.
For the proposition 876

Proposition for tax levy of 1 mill to establish, maintain and
conduct a supervised recreation system in the City of Salina, Kansas

On motion of Commissioner Stedham the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
