COMMISSIONERS PROCEIMINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY 17, 1947
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 17, 1947. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price,
Noyce and Stedham and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioners Breon and Moore
absent. f
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 10, 1947 were read and approved
as read.
Applications for taxicab license for the first six months of 1947 presented
as follows:

Commissioner Noyce moved that applications be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1947 presented as

Commissioner Noyce moved that applications be approved and license granted.
Motion a dopted.

Commissioner Noyce moved that application be approved and license granted for
day driving only. Motion adopted.
Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License for the year 1947 presented
as follows:

Commissioner Stedham moved that application be approved and license granted.
Notion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the paving of Osborne street from Cloud
Street to Republic Avenue; and Republic Avenue from Osborne Street west to the
east end of paving on Republic Avenue. Petition was referred to the pity Manager
and City Engineer.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Noyce the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Price, Noyce and Stedham (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Breon and Moore
absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-364.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Stedham the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Price, Noyce and Stedham (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Lreon and Moore
absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-365.

IMotion duly made and seconded the Mayor be directed to issue a Proclamation
for Bond Election for and on behalf of Board of Education of City of Salina to sub-
mit proposition to issue its bonds in the amount of $12250,000.00 for the purpose
of building a Senior High School Building and furnishing same to the people within
the School District. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Stedham the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
