Commissioner Moore absent, Commissioner Simpson deceased. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 13, 1947 were read and approved as read. follows: Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1947 presented as Thayne R. Olson Dale M. Beach Donald L. 1 ead Lloyd H. Cook Ralph E. Dalton Carl A. Lindgren Wm. F. Haist Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved and license grant- ed. Motion adopted. Petitions from citizens of Salina asking for additional taxicabs were presented; also statement and records from the DeLuxe Cab Company and Bell Taxi Company. Action deferred. Motion adopted. GENERAL RETiiILER_"CURPORATION"_ 43 Knights of Columbus Knights of Columbus #601, Council No. 601 1052 North Seventh Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted, subject to approval of Food and Health Department. Motion adopted. Electrical Bond was presented from L. A. Padgett, and on motion of Commis- sioner Breon approved by the B oard of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Concrete Construction Bond was presented from Jack Bagley, and on motion of Commissioner Breon approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to the drilling for oil and gas within the limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, and amending Ordinance No. 5128 and repealing Section 3 of said OrdinGnce 5128." On motion of Commissioner Noyce the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price, Breon and Noyce (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner�Moore absent, Com- missioner Simpson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5205. Trust Deed with a deposit of ;75.00 was presented from Mrs. R. J. Toland, for the perpetual care of the North 1/2 of Lot 36, Block 16, in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, Kansas. Commissioner Breon moved that Trust Deed be approved by the Board of Com- missioners, and that City Treasurer be instructed to place deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Lot Owners Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance No. 3530 of the City of Salina, Kansas. Motion adopted. 5 An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price, Breon and Noyce (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Moore absent. Commissioner Simpson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-361. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
