A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating to the
issuing of bonds in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 for the repair of Memorial
Hall."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the resolution was adopted as read and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Price, Breon, Moore and Noyce (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Simpson deceased.
Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 957•
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 315 Resolution Book
A letter was read from the Salina Junior Chamber of Commerce, conveying
to the Board of Commissioners their appreciation for the excellent organization
and work done by the Commissioners during 1916. Letter ordered filed.
Permission was granted to Dillon & Son for the erection of addition to
building located on Lots 51, 52 and 53, Front Street, Original Town, City of
Salina, Kansas.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final a doption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: Price, Breon, Moore and Noyce (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner
Simpson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-360.
City Engineer submitted Partial Estimate of Cost in the amount of X632,939.06
to H. J. Taylor Construction Company, for the construction of Woodland Avenue
Storm Sewer. On motion of Commissioner "neon same was approved by the Board
of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
