12-30-1946 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. DECEMBER 30, 1946 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 30, 1946. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price, Moore and Noyce and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner Breon absent, Commissioner Simpson deceased. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 23, 1946 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina in "E" Heavy Industrial District, as defined by Section 7 of Ordinance Number 3188, and providing for the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Moore the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final a doption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price, Moore and Noyce (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Breon, Commissioner Simpson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5201. A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution granting an easement for a defined use, in Third Street in the City of Salina unto the Missouri Pacif- ic Railroad Company and providing for termination thereof." On motion of Commissioner Noyce the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes. - Price.. Moore and Noyce (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Breon,absent, Commissioner Simpson deceased. Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 958. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 346 Resolution Book Number 3. On motion of Commissioner Moore, the City Manager was instructed to write a letter to Mrs. H. C. Simpson, Jr., expressing the City Commissioners sympathy on account of the death of Commissioner H. C. Simpson, Jr., Motion adopted. On motion, City Manager was instructed to meet the Payroll of 'lecember 31, 1946. Motion adopted. A petition was presented asking for the voacation of part of alley lying between Santa Fe Avenue and Hig bland Avenue from Bond 'street to Crawford Avenue. Petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. On motion of Commissioner Moore the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk 1 1
