DECEMBER 2nd, 1932.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 2nd,
1932. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ste venson, the roll
was called and Commissioners.Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth
absent.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the issuance of Refunding Bonds of the City
of Salina, Kansas, in the aggregate amount of $60,090.57 for the
purpose of refunding certain outstanding bonds of such City in a
like amount."
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A resolution accepting
trust proposal of the Governor of Kansas for theestablishment and
operation of an emergency relief fund from federal emergency relief
funds, for the payment of work relief wages on Work Relief Project
No. 14-3 entitled, "Reconstruction of Battery Barns."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was -called and the fol-
lowing vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford 43) Nays:
(0) Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth absent. Mayor approved the
same and is numbered 547.

A resolution was introduced entitled: "A resolution accepting
trust proposal of the Governor of Kansas for the establishment and
operation of an emergency relief fund from federal emergency relief
funds, for the payment of work relief wages on work Relief Project
No. 14-13 entitled "Consolidation of work relief and poor relief
records."
On -motion of Commissioner Pafford the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the fol-
lowing vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford (3) Nays: �O}
Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth absent. Mayor approved the same And
is numbered 548.

A resolution was introduced entitled: "A resolution accepting
trust proposal of the Governor of Kansas for the establishment and
operation of an emergency relief fund from federal emergency relief
funds, for the payment of work relief wages on work Relief project
No. 14-9 entitled, Resurfacing Park Drives."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the follow-
ing vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson,_ Morey and Pafford (3) Nays: (0)
Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth absent. Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 549.

A resolution was introdueed entitled: "A resolution accepting
trust proposal of the Governor of Kansas for the establishment and
operation of an emergency relief fund.from federal emergency relief
funds, for the payment of work relief wages on work Relief Project
No. 14-5 entitled, Tree Trimming."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the follow-
ing vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and Pafford (3) Nays: (0)
Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth absent. Mayor approved the same
and is numbered 550.

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance amending Ordinance Number 3486 of the City of Salina and
providing for and requiring a license for operating and conducting
auctions of merchandise and fixing a license tax therefor and
providing a penalty for violation of this ordinance and repeal-
ing Ordinance Number 3486 of the City of Salina.'
On mbtion of oommiissioner Pafford same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
