COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA. KANSAS.
NOVEMBER 21, 1932.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, November 21,
1932. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Stevenson, Pafford and Spaeth and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners Benfield and Morey absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 14th, 1932s
were read and approved as read.

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "Ar_ ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Uommissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the'roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Pafford and
Spaeth (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Benfield and Morey absent.
The hlayor approved the same and is numbered 4214.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the construction
of Storm Sewers No. 24 and 17-A in the City of Salina, and providing
for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending
the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners*
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the building and
construction of a certain lateral sanitary sewer in Lateral Sanitary
Sewer District No. 167, and providing for the issuance of temporary
a notes to pay the cost thereof pending issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
-ordinance excluding certain lands from the corporate limits of the
City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
Trust Deed with a deposit of $100.00, received fro4i the
Gotthart Schippel heirs, for perpetual care of North 1/2 of Lot 12,
Block "A", in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery of Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Pafford same was accepted by the
Board of Commissioners, and the City Treasurer was instructed to
place the deposit to the credit of the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endow-
ment Fund, as provided by Ordinance No. 3530 of the City of Salina.
The matter of re -zoning the southwest corner of Ninth Street
and Walnut Street was taken up, and Commissioner Pafford moved that
the matter be deferred two weeks, and that a new petition be pre-
sented from the property owners on both sides of Walnut Street
from Eighth Street to Tenth Street, and on both sides of Ninth
Street, 300 feet north and south of Walnut Street.
Commissioner Pafford moved that the City Clerk be instructed
to publish notice of Special Meeting to be held by the Board of
Commissioners December 27, 1932, in reference to re -zoning corner of
Ninth and Cloud Streets and Lohmiller corner at Walnut and Cedar
Streets.
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
