COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
SEPTEMBER 12, 1932.
Regular meeting.of.the_Board of Commissioners, September 12,
1932. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and Spaeth and
City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Benfield absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 6, 1932 were
read and approved as read.
Commissioner Pafford moved that Paving Bonds in the amount of
$23,377.47 be sold to the City of Salina, Water Department, for par,
accrued interest and cost of printing bonds; and on.its final adoption
the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson,
Morey, Pafford and Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Benfield
absent.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance appropriating
the sum of $23,750.04 out of the Water Works Fund, .for the purchase of
certain bonds heretofore issued by the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Ste venson, Morey, Pafford and
Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Benfield absent. Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 4206.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and
Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Benfield absent. Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 4207.
Combination Plumbers & Gas Fitters Bond received from Frank
Mealin, and on motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by
the Board of Commissioners.
Sign application No. 67 asking for the erection of a cloth
sign at the corner of Fifth Street and Ash Street, received from the
Cities Service Company, and on motion of Commissioner Pafford same
was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Morey moved that the time to receive report from
the City Plamzing Commission in reference to amending Zoning Ordinance
No. 3188 by placing Lot 9 in Surveyorts Plat "A", located at the south
west corner of Ninth and 4alnut Street in the "C" Commercial District
and removing the same from the "E" Residence District, be extended to
September 19th, 1932 at 5:00 P. M.
Connnissioner Morey moved that the time to receive report from
the City Planning Commission in reference to amending Zoning Ordinance
No. 3188 Lots 44 46 and 48 on Santa Fe Avenue in the Grounds of the
Kansas Wesleyan 6niversit7 in the "C" Commercial District and removing
the same from the "A" Residence District, be extended to September
19th, 1932 at 5:00 P. M.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
