Regular meeting of the Board of COanniss.ioners, July 5th,
1932. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll
was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey and Spaeth and City
'0*ttorney Norris responded. C0MMIanioners. Benfield. and. Pafford
absent.
The minutes of the Special Meeting of June 27th, 1932; and
Regular Meeting of June 27th,, 1932, were read and approved as read.
Mr." W. B. McMiekle, appearedbefore the Board of Commission -
ern in reference to the cancellation of Taxicab Bonds.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of. Commissioner Spaeth'the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final. adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and S aeth
(3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Benfield and Pafford absent* mayor
approved the same and is numbered 4170.
City Engineer submitted Estimate No. 1 to H. J. Taylor Con-
struetion Company for paving improvements undercontract dated May
31, 1932s and on motion of Co mdasioner Morey same was approved by
the Board of Comissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."

On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and Spaeth
(3) Rays: (0) Commiasioners. Benfield and Pafford absent. Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 4171.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation from the funds of the Water Department for the purchase
of a Temporary Note of the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Aye StnVeneou, Morey and Spaeth
(3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Benfield. and Pafford. absent. Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 4172.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the curbing and guttgring of north side of
Re lic Avenue from -the west line of Ninth treat to the east line
or en reed. providing
, for .the. cost thereof., haw the sante
shall be assessed and the mamaer of payment. therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth same.was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the Improving of certain portions of Ninth
Street from the south line of Jewell Avenue to..center line of- - —'
cl-Mu3'Street* and. providing. ffor. the coat thereof, how the same shall
be assessed and the manner of payment therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
