Regular meeting of the Board of Conwiesioners, June 130 1932.
Meeting was called to order..by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called
and Commissioners Stevenson, Benfield,__Morey and Pafford and City
Attorney Norris responded. Cx issioner Spaeth absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 6th, 19320 were read
and approved ae reade
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance ratifying.and confirming a contract with.H. J. Taylor Con-
struction Company_.for the construction of certain curbing, guttering
and paving improvements.on. cowtain_streets in the City o Salina, and
providing for the issuanue-of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof
pending the issuance and sale. of bonds."
OR motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final ado tion the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Utevenson, Benfield, Morey
and Pafford (4) Nays: (0) Connissioner Spaeth absent. Mayor ap-
proved the same and is numbered 4164.
An ordinance wasntroduc@d for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance changing..the name of _sits, Street to Tenth Street and re-
pealing Ordinance Number 30017."
On motion of Ctmaenissioner. Benfield the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was_had;. Ayes: Stevenson, Benfield, Morey and
Pafford (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. Mayor approved
the same and is membered 4165.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to the oonstrmetion_.of driveways leading to pri-
vate premises from streets now or hereafter paved, curbed or guttered."
On motion of Comis.sioner Morey sane was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
Gas Fitter Bond received from Mrs. Chas. Kastner, and on motion
of Commissioner. Morey same was approved by the Board of Commission-
ers.
Application was received from 0. W. Mattison asking permission
to out the curb -on the south side of Walnut Street, near Fifth
street,
Commissioner Morey moved that permission._be granted providing
that an agreement`be signed by renter.and..the property owner to
replace the curb when requested.
A permit was granted to C. F. E.ekelman to construct a small
store building at the north -went corner of Ninth Street and Claflin
Street*
On motion of Commissioner Morey the. Board of Commissioners
adjourned to meet June 14th, 1932 at 2:00 P. M.
