Commissioner Spaeth moved that $330000.00 par value of said
bonds be sold to Commerce Trust Company for delivery not later than
January 15, 1934, at par and accrued interest to date of delivery,
less $297.00 for legal expenses, and that the Mayor be authorized to
sign a contract with Commerce Trust Company for the sale and delivery
of said bonds on such terms, subject to the approval of the legality
of said bonds by Bowersick, Fizzell & Rhodes, Attorneys for the
purchaser, and that the cashiers check for $600.00 deposited with the
City Clerk as evidence of the good faith of the purchaser be held
by the City in accordance with the terms of said contractV*,The motion
was duly seconded and upon vote taken was duly carried.
A contract submitted by the purchaser of said bonds was, on
motion duly carried, approved by the Board of Commissioners, and was
duly signed by the Mayor.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments
on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to
pay the cost of constructing lateral sanitary sewer No. 168 and relat-
ing to and providing for the collection and payment of such assess-
ments,"
On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Pafford, Peters
and Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Morey absent. Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 4339.
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the Board of Commissioners
adjourned to meet in regular session on December 26, 1933 -)at 5 P. M-1
the next regular meeting day falling on Christmas.

Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 20,
1933. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll
was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth
and City Attorney NQrrisissponded. Commissioner Mdrey absent.

Pursuant to notice published in the Salina Journal
$33,000.00, par value of Refunding Bonds of the City of Salina of
the issue of $64,000.00, authorized by Ordinance No. 4332, were
placed on sale. Offers for said bonds were received from:
a
Brown-Crummer, Wichita, Kansas.
j Middlekauff Company, Wichita, Kansas.
Commerce Trust Company, Kansas City, Missouri.
Baum-Bernheimer Company, Kansas City, Missouri.
The highest bidder for said $33,000.00 of bonds for delivery
not later than January 15, 1934 was made by Commerce Trust Company,
at par and accrued interest to date of delivery, less $297.00 to
