12-13-1933 Minutesr'�' S'✓ �.. Wit, � COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALIVA, KANSAS. DECEMBER 130 1933. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 130 933. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Pafford and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners Morey and Peters i absent. f j A contract was presented between the City of Salina and State Highway Commission of Kansas, relating to thh improving of Municipal Highway from Euclid Street to Santa Fe A enue known as Ninth Street and Pacific Avenue. On motion, Mayor was authorized to sign same on behalf of the City. Motion carried. A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Rysolution relating to the improving of U. S. 81 known as Ninth^Street and Pacific Avenue." On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followin& vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and Peters (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Morey and Peters absent. Number 594. IThe above resolution is recorded in full on Page 256 of I Resolution Book Number 2. A resolution was introduced entitled: "A resolution relating to speed, etc., on Highway 81." On motion of Commissioner Pafford the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followin4 vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Pafford and Spaeth (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Morey and Peters absent. Mayor ap- proved the same and is numbered 595. The above resolution is recorded in Full on Pages 257-258 of Resolution Book Number 2. j An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance approving a certain Grant Agreement between the City of Salina, Kansas and the United States of America known as Public Works Administration Docket No. 2739 relating to the construction of certain improvements to the Waterworks System of the City of Salina and authorizing the Payor and City Clerk to execute and attest the execution of said agreement." On motion of Commissioner Pafford same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance creating certain funds to be known as "Public Works AMministration Docket No, 2739 Contract Account Fund" and "Public Works Administration Docket No. 2739 Force Account Fund"; authorizing the appropriation and transfer of certain money from the Waterworks Department Fund to said funds so created; designating certain banks as depositaries for the monies placed in and to be acquired by such funds and providing for the manner in which the monies deposited in such special accounts shall be accounted for and used."
