COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
DECEMBER 11, 1933.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 11,
1933. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 4th, 1933
and Regular Meeting of December 7th, 1933, were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the issuance of Refunding Bonds of the
City of Salina, Kansas, in the aggregate amount of $64,000.00 for the
purpose of refunding certain outstanding bonds of such City in a
l like amount."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
And the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford,
Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 4332.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages for
the last quarter of 1933 received from:
Johnsonts Cafe, 122 South Seventh.
Commissioner Spaeth moved that license be granted.
Sign application No. 103, asking for permit to erect a sign
on front of building located at 103 North Seventh S reet, received
from Cubbbrly' s Food Market No. 2. On motion of o=nissioner
Peters same was granted by the Board of Commissioners.
The appraisers report for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary Sewer No. 168 was received.
Commissioner Peters moved that same be approved by the
Board of Commissioners, and that Monday, December 18, 1933, be
designated as a Special Meeting at which time the appraisers report
will be taken up and acted on by the Board of Commissioners, and
that the City Clerk publish notice of such meeting in the official
City paper as provided by law. Motion adopted.
Comissioner Pafford movgd that the City Clerk be directed
to publish notice in the Salina J urnal, the official City paper,
that $642000.00 Refunding Bonds., -authorized by Ordinance ado. 4332
would be placed on sale December 20, 1933 at 5 otelock P. M.
Motion carried.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
adjourned to December 13th,1933 at�5 olclock.P. hi.
