NOVEMBER 27, 1933.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commmissioners, November
270 1933. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll
was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pa;fford,'Peters and
Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 20, 193.&
were read and approved as read.

Bids for the construction of Storm Sewer No. 9-B received
The Gordon Construction Company, Denver, Colorado.
W. Be Carter, Wichita, Kansas.
Stamey Construction Company, Hutchinson, Kansas.
Peterson Construction Company, Salina, Kansas.
H. J. Taylor Construction Company, Salina, Kansas.
City Engineers estimate of cost for the construction of
Storm Sewer No. 9-B was read.
All bids were tabulated by the City Engineer.
Commissioner Peters moved that contract be awarded to
H. J. Taylor Construction Company, lowest bidder for Concrete Pipe
Sewer, as per bid submitted, and that certified checks be returned
by the City Clerk to the unsuccessful bidders; also that Mayor be
authorized to sign contract on behalf of the City for such improvement.
Motion carried.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford,
Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 4325.

At a meeting of the Board of Public Works held in the
City Managers office at 1:;5 Wednesday, November 22nd, the Board
unanimously approved the resurfacing of Ninth Street from Ash Street
to North Street, according to plans and specifications submitted by
H. N. Lame, City Engineer.

On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the report was approved
by the Board of Commissioners.
An ord. was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the repaving of Ninth Street from the south
line of Ash Street to the south line of orth Street (west of Ninth
Street) and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be
assessed and the manner of payment therefore"
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.

south line of Bishop Street to the south line of North Street (west
of Ninth Street) and providing for the cost thereof, how the same
shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor."

r ordinance ordering owners of property on Ninth Street between Pacific
Avenue and Euclid Avenue in the City of Salina to lay water service
pipes."
On motion of Commissioner Peters same was referred to the Board
Of Commissioners.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages for the
last quarter of 1933 received from:

On motion of Commissioner Pafford license was granted.
Trust Deed, with a deposit of $75.00 received from Mary Lough,
for perpetual care of South One-half of Lot Eleven Block twenty-three
j (Sj 11-23) in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery of Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was accepted by the Board
of Commissioners and the City Treasurer was instructed to place the
same in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance
Number 3530 of the City of Salina. Motion adopted.
