COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
NOVEMBER 13, 1933.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 13,
1933. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth
responded. City Att orney Norris absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 6th, 1933;
and Regular Meeting of November 10th, 1933, Vere read and approved as
read.
Sign Application No. 998 asking for permission to erect a
temporary cloth sign on front of building occupied by Montgomery Ward
and Company was received. On motion of Commissioner Peters same was
approved by the Bard of CoMmissioners.
The following report was received from the City Planning
Commission:
At a meeting held Thursday, November 9th, 19330 the Plan-
ning and Zoning Ccznmission voted to recommend the granting of the
gextition to rezone the following territory that is at present in the
A Residerte Zone to Commercial Zone:

Lot 14 Block 2, Fruitland Addition
Lot 78 " 5, East Salina Addition
f All of Lots 2, 304, 697,8, 120 13 and the west 150 feet
j of Lot 1, Surveyor's Plat No. 8.
Lots 1,2,38405,6,788,98 Block 2, Hansen Court Addition,
with the provision that the type of improvements to be made hereafter
on this plot be referred to the planning Commission.
The following report was received from the City Planning
Commission:
At a meeting,held Thursday, November 9th, 1933, the Planning
and Zoning Commission voted to recommend the granting of the petition
asking for the rezoning of the following described property; from
residential to commercial district:
"Beginning at Ninth and Claflin, west 200 feet,.then south
on this line to Cloud Street, then east on Cloud Street to the alley
between Ninth and Highland, then north on this alley line to Claflin
Avenue, then west to the place of beginning, thus extending the
present commercial zone at Ninth and Claflin along each side of Ninth
Street to Cloud Street."'
City Clerk was instructed to advertise for a public hearing
to be held for the rezoning of the above described property.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
adjourned ~to meet in regular session Nbv`ember 18` , 1933 at 5:00 Y. m.
