Mwas called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded. ( An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim." ? I On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption: the roll was called and the following vote'was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford Peters and Spaeth (5) Hays: (4) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 4319. { The following No. 9-B was received from therelating Boa d of Public Works: construction at Storm Sewer Salina, Kansas. November 1, 1933. Y I Mr. H. L. Brown, City Manager, Salina, Kansas. Dear Mr. Brown: i This letter will confirm the action of the Board of Public Works at a meet held at 1:15 otclock P. ' in which approval M. November 1, 1833, pproval was given for the construction of a storm sewer, j aocording.to plans and specifications submitted by the Clay Engineer, located in Eleventh Street, south from South Street, and to care for the drainage in the territory west of Ninth Street south of South Street and north of Crawford Avenue and west to Missouri Pacific s, tracks. Adams, On motion of Commissioner Pafford the report was approved by the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the construction of a certain storm sewer in the City of Salina to be designated as Storm Sewer No. 9-B and providing for the manner in which such improvement is to be done and the manner of Payment of the cost thereof.* On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and ap- proved by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (b) Nays: (0')Mayor approved the same and is numbered 4320. On motion of Comissioner Spaeth the resolution was adopted as read and on Its final adoption the roll was called and the follow- ing vote was had; O (A OV: Stevenson, Morey, Spaeth, Peters and Par - ford. Lames, City Engineer of the City of Salinas Kansas# to sign on behalf of the City of Salina an application to the Federal Emer- gency Administration of Public Works for a grant of money to be used n payment of part of the cost Of the construction of Storm Sewer No. 9-B on Eleventh Street in the City of Salina# Kansas** On motion of Comissioner Morey the resolution was adopted as read and on Its fliml adoption the roll was called and the fol - loving vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson.. A resolution was Introduced entitled: *A Resolution authoriz- Ing H. N. Lame# City Engineer of the City, of Salinas Kansas to sign on behalf of.the City of Salina an application to the Federal Emergency Administartlon of Public Works for a grant of money to be used in the construction of a water main on Walnut Street from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the west line of College Avenue, and on Ninth Street from the center line of Iron Avenue to the south line of North Street (west of Ninth Street) In the City of Salinas On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the resolution was adopted an read and on Its final adoption the roll was called and the fol- lowing vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (6) Noy*: (0) Mayor approved the sow and is numbered 590.
