Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 3,
1933. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll
was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and
Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating to the repaving of Ninth Street from the
south line of Ash Street to the south line o Nort1 treet (west
of Ninth Street.)"
'On motion of Commissioner Pafford the resolution was
adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford,
Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 578.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 238 of
Resolution Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating to the recurbing of Ninth Street from the
south line of Bishop Street to the southline of North Street (west
of Ninth Street.)"
On motion of Commissioner Morey the resolution was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford,
Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 579.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 239 of
Resolution Book Number 2.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "Axe ordinance provid-
ing for and authorizing the appropriation and transfer of certain
amounts from the Waterworks Fund to the Paving Fund and to the Sewer
Fund, for the purchase of bonds for the Sinking Fund or Investment
Account of the Waterworks Department."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Aass Stevenson, Morey,
Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0T Mayor approved the same
and is numbered 4309.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing for and authorizing the appropriation of certain amounts from
the Paving Fund and from the Sewer Fund to the Waterworks Fund, to
take up and pay certain temporary notes, issued in payment of certain
paving work and sewer work and which were purchased by and held in
the Sinking Fund or Investment Account, of the Waterworks Department."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford,
Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 4310.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the construction of a certain storm sewer in
the City of Salina to be designated as Storm Sewer No. 9B and pro-
viding for the manner in which such improvement is to be done and
the manner of payment of the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was referred to the
Commissioners.
