COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.

Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners.August 2$, 1933.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and
Commissioners St6Venson, Morey and Spaeth responded. Commissioners
Pafford and Peters and City Attorney Norris absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 21, 1933; and
Regular Meeting of August 22, 19338 were read and approved as read.
�An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and Spaeth (3)
Nays: (0) Commissioners Pafford and Peters absent. Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 4302.
Applications for taxicab license for the last half of 1933
received from:
J. L. Ray
Clarence A. Weis.
Commissioner Morey moved that license be granted to J. L. Ray
and Clarence A. Weis for taxicab license for the last half of 1933.
Four applications for the sale of malt and cereal beverages
were received. Commissioner Spaeth moved that licenses be grant-
ed.
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution accept-
ing trust proposal of the Governor of Kansas for the establishment
and operation of a Federal Relief Fund from Federal Relief Funds for
the payment of work relief wages on a 'Work Relief Project entitled,
"Street Improvement and Repair."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the resolution was adopted as
read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and Spaeth (3) Nays: (0)
Commissioners Pafford and Peters absent. Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 574.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 234 of
Resolution Book Number 2.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
