Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 22nd, 1933s
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called i
and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth and
City Att orney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 15th, 1933, were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters
and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0)" Mayor approved the same and is numbered
42'i4.
Bids for concession rights in Oakdale Park for the swimming
season of 1933 received. Commissioner Pafford moved that bids be
opened and the contract be awarded to the highest bidder.

Application Number 90 asking permission to erect a temporary
cloth sign on front of building located at 220 South Santa Fe Avenue
received from. Salina Firestone Tire Company.
Commissioner Morey moved that permit be approved by the -Board
of Commissioners and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters
and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0).
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution accept -
Ing Trust. Proposal of the Governor of Kansas for the establishment and
operation of an emergency relief fund from federal emergency relief
funds for the payment of work relief wages on Work Relief Project No.
14-5F entitled, Storm Sewer No. 11-A•"
On motion of.Commissioner Pafford the Resolution was adopted
as read and.on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth
(5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 565.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 225 of Reso-
lution Book Number 2.
