Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 8, 1933.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called
and Commissioners Stevenson, More, Peters, Spaeth and City Attorney
Norris responded. Commissioner afford absent.
The appraisers reports for the re -paving of Santa Fe Avenue
from Walnut Street to Elm Street;
Ash Street; For the re -curbing of Santa Fe Avenue from Walnut Street to
For the re -curbing of Santa Fe Avenue from Ash Street to
Elm Street were taken up and acted on by the Board of Commissioners.
The appraisers report for the re -paving of Santa Fe Avenue
from Walnut Street to Elm Street was taken up and read as follows:

We, John Frederick, L. W. Carl and P. A. Tobin, being
duly and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does
hereby solemnly swear that he is disinterested in any of the property
liable to special assessment for the cost of re -paving Santa Fe Rvenue
from Walnut Street to Elm Street, as more particularly escr a an
provided for in Ordinance No. 4235 of the City of Salina, Kansas; and
that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make
a true and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground
abutting on such street as above mentioned, without regard to the build-
ings or improvements thereon, for the distance improved, as set forth
and designated by the Board of Commissioners in the ordinance above
mentioned. So help us God.

Appraisers*
Commissioner Morey moved that the appraisers report for the
re -curbing of Santa Fe Avenue from Walnut Street to Ash Street be adopt-
ed as amended. Motion catried by the following vote: Ayes: Stevenson,
Morey, Peters and Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Pafford absent.
The appraisers report for the of Santa Fe Avenue from
Ash'_Street to Elm Street was taken up and read as follows:

We, John Frederick, L. W. Carl and P. A. Tobin, being duly and
severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does hereby solemn-
ly swear that he is disinterested in any of the property liable to
special assessment for the cost of recurbing Santa Fe Avenue from the
north line of Ash Street to the north line of Elm Street, as more
particularly described and provided for in Ordinance No. 4246 of the
city of Salina, Kansas; and that each of us will to the best of our
judgment and ability make a true and impartial appraisement of all the
lots and pieces of ground abutting on such street as above mentioned,
without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon, for the distance
improved as set forth and designated by the Board of Commissioners in
the ordinance above mentioned. So help us God.

Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 8th,
1933. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Peters and Spaeth and
i City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Pafford absent.
E The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 1st, 1933; Regular
E`E Meeting of May 2nd, 1933; and Regular Meeting of May 4th, 1933,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain clairs ."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Peters
and Spaeth (4) ays: (0) Commissioner Pafford absent. Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 4260.

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance amending Section 4 of OrdinanceNo. 3317 as amended by
Section 1 of' Ordinance No. 3336 relating to and regulating the park-
ing of vehicles on certain streets in the City of Salina and provid-
ing a penalty for the violation of such ordinance, and repealing said

original section as amended."
On motion of Commissioner Peters same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.

Sign Application No. 89, asking permission to erect a sign
on front of building located at 152 North Santa Fe Avenue was re-
ceived from the Classic Barber Shop.
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was approved by the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
