Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 1, 1933.
Meeting; was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called
and Commissioners -Stevenson, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth and City At
torney Norris responded. Commissioner.Morey absent..
The minutes of the.Regular Meeting of April 24, 1933 and
Regular Meeting of April 28, 1933, were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitle.di "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth .the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on"its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes Stevenson., Pafford, Peters and
Spaeth (4) Nays:O.Commissioner Morey absent. Ordinance No. 4254.
City Engineer submitted Estimate Number 2 to H. J. Taylor
Construction Company for the construction of paving improvements
prior toMay 1, 1933, under contract dated-March.l, 1933. On
motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by the Board of Com-
missioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Conwissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections.and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; ..Ayes: Stevenson, Pafford, Peters and
Spaeth.(4) Nays.: (0) Commissioner Morey absent., Mayor approved
the same and is numbered.425b.
An ordinance was introduced entitled:_ "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the funds of the,, -Water Department for the ' pur-
chase of a temporary note of the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on'its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was. had.; Ayes: Stevenson, Pafford, Peters and
Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner -Morey absent.. Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 4255.
City Engineer submitted.Estdmate Number 1 to H. J. Taylor Con-
struction Company for the -construction of paving improvements prior
to May 1, 1933, under contract dated April 11.,_1933. On motion of
Commissioner Pafford same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the funds. of the Water Department for the pur-
chase of a Temporary Note of the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes_. Stevenson, Pafford, Peters
and Spaeth (4) Nays: -(0) Commissioner Morey absent. Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 4258.
