COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
APRIL 10, 1933.
Regular meeting of the Board ofCommissioners, April 10th,
1933. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Stevenson, Idoreys Pafford, Paulsen and
Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 3rd, 1933; Regular
Meeting of April 7th, 1933; and Canvassing Board Meeting of April 7th,
1933s were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Paulsen
and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered
4249.
Sign Application No. 68, asking permission to erect a flat sign
on the north side of building located at 159 North Seventh.Street
received from Beach Oil Company. On motion of Commissioner Morey same
was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
The following resolution was introduced: "A Resolution accepting
trust proposal of the Governor of Kansas for the establishment and
operation of an emergency relief fund from federal emergency relief
funds, for the payment of work relief wages on Work Relief Project
No. 14-0 entitled, "Resurfacing park drives."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the resolution was adopted as
read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Paulsen and Spaeth
(5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 563.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 223 of Resolution
Book Number 2.
The following communication was presented to Mr. H. C. PAulsen:

Salina, Kansas.
April 10th, 1933,
The undersigned officials of the City of Salina, Kansas, who have
been associated with Mr. H. C. Paulsen during his term of service as
a member of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, desire
to express to him upon the occasion of his retirement from such office
their sincere appreciation of his services to the Cita and of the
pleasant relationship which has at all times existed between him and
the undersigned officials in the performance of their duties, and each
of the undersigned desire further to express to Mr. Paulsen their high
personal regard for him, and for his faithful and conscientious services
in the performance of his official duties.
