Meeting was called
to order by Mayor
Stevenson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey,
Pafford and
Spaeth and
City Attorney Norris
responded. Commissioner Paulsen absent.
The returns of
the City Election were presented by the City
Clerk and opened by
the Mayor in the presence of the Commissioners
assembled, duly canvassed alld the result dedlared, and
the Mty Clerk
was directed by vote
of the Board to spread upon theJournal the re-
sult of the canvass

Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 7th, 1933.
Meeting was called to order bX Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called I
and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, and Spaeth and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Paulsen absent.

j City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate
j of cost for the recurbing of Santa Fe Avenue from Ash Street to
j
Elm Street.
On motion of Commissioner Morey same were approved by the Board
of Commissioners, and the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for
bids to be received up to and including_ Tuesday,, April 11th, 1933 at
1:30 P. M.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract with H. :. Taylor
Construction Company for the recurbing of Santa Fe Avenue from Walnut
Street to Ash Street in the City of Salina; and for the repaving of
Santa Fe Avenue from Walnut Street to Elm Street in the City of Salina,
and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost
thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and
Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissaner Paulsen absent. Mayor ap-
proved the same and is numbered 4248.
Trust Deed, with a deposit of $100.00 received from Hyaeinthe
DeTomba , estate, for perpetual care of North One-half Lot 48, Block
Nine (9), in the u7psum Hill Cemetery of Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was accepted by the
Board of commissioners and the City Treasurer was instructed to place
the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided
by Ordinance No. 3530 of the City of Salina."
Sign Application No. 872 asking permission to erect a metal
sign on south side of building located at 251 South Fourth Street
was received, and on motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved
by the Board of Commiss ioners .
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
