Meeting was called to order by Mayor Pafford, the roll was called and Commissioners Pafford, Morey, Peters, Spaeth and Surface and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 19, 1934 and 1 Special Meeting of November 19, 1934, were reed and approved as read. City Engineer submitted Final Estimate of Cost for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 169. On motion of Commissioner Peters same was adopted by the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots andieces of P ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 169, and relat- ing to and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments." On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the building and construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 170 and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending issuance and sale of bonds." On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate of cost for the construction of lateral sanitary sewer No. 171. Commis- sioner Morey moved that same be approved by the Board of Commissioners and that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for such sewer { to be received up to and including Monday, December 10th, 1934 at 5:00 P. Ido Motion adopted. Sign Application No. 131 asking for the erection of a sign on building located at 229 South Santa Fe Avenue, occupied by Red Hen Grill was rec6ived, and on motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by the Board of Commissioners for a period of thirty days. Sign Application No. 132 asking for the erection of a sign on building located at 229 South Santa Fe Avenue, occupied by Red Hen Grill was received, and on motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was ap- proved by the Board of Commissioners.
