Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 14, 1934.
Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Pafford, the roll was called
and Commissioners Pafford, Morey, Peters and Spaeth and City Attorney
Norris responded. R. J. Surface the newly elected Commissioner not
having qualified.
Application for taxicab license for the balance of 1934 received
from DeLuxe Cab Company, owner and E. W. Thompson, operator. Com-
missioner Peters moved that license be granted by the Board of Commis-
sioners.
Application for Plumbers & Gas Fitters license for the balance
of 1934 received from Joe Morris, Commissioner Spaeth moved that
license be granted by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and regulating the use, operation and parking
of vehicles on the streets of the City of Salina, Kansas, and the pas-
sage of pedestrians upon and over such streets, providing penalties
for the violation of this ordinance and reRealing certain ordinances and
parts of ordinances of the City of Salina.
On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Pafford, Morey, Peters and Spaeth
(4) Nays: (0) Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is num-
bered 4476.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
