Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 1, 1934. Eeeting was called to order by T+Tayor Stevenson, the roll was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth and City Attorney Ttorris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of ;�_:)eptember 24, 1934, were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." jOn motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes : Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5) Days: (0} Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4466. The following claim to be paid from Relief Highway Fund was presented for payment: Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk, Cash paid out for labor $154.60 Commissioner Peters moved that same be allowed by the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of a certain claim." An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance appro- priating certain money from the iremens Relief Fund for the pur- chase of bonds to be held in the Investment Account of such fund." J I On notion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is i 1 numbered 4468. � Sign Application Number 128, asking for the erection of a cloth sign on building located at 139 South Santa Fe Avenue (Ja�Thawk Theatre Building) was received from Democrat Headquarters. On jmotion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by the Board of Com- missioners. Commissioner Morey moved that W. B. McTtiickle d/b/a DeLuxe Cab Company, be granted permission to operate a taxi station at the north-west corner of Eighth and Ash Streets, also to move a taxi stand I from the north side of Ash Street to the south side of Ash Street. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Peters the Board of Commissioners adjourned to meet in regular session Thursday, October 4th, 1934. City Clerk i 1
