I Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners September 10,
1934. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was
j called and Commissioners Stevenson, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth and I
City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Morey absent.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 4, 1934,were
read and approved as read.

j An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for
the payment of certain claims." j
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
i the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Pafford, 'eters and
Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Morey absent. Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered 4463.

Sign application Number 124, asking fpr permit to erect a sign
on building located at 912 North Santa Fe Avenue, received from
J. Vi. Sprout. On motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by
j the Board of Commissioners.
Notice of cancellation of Taxicab policies numbered X77056,
35815 and Z75004, received from Central Mutual Insurance Company
of Chicago. City Clerk was instructed to notify the owners of said
taxicabs of cancellation.

A communication was received from the Continental. Casualty
Company asking for the release of Bond No. 121629 issued to L. J.
Ashton of Salina, Aansas. On motion, same was granted.
As no bids were received for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary gewer Number 169 as advertised for, Commissioner Peters moved
that the City Engineer be instructed to construct said sewer by force
account within the Engineers estimate. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Peters the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
