Commissioner Pafford moved the appointments be confirmed by
the Board. of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance authorizing and providing for the issuance of Improvement
Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of 447,102.18 to pay
the cost of constructing certain storm sevrers in said City,"
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and S r)aeth
(4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Peters absent. Mayor ap-oroved the
ordinance and it is numbered 4440.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages in
the City of Salina for the last half of 1934 received as follows:

Commissioner Pafford moved the above named applications be
approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Application for Pool Hall License for the last half of 1934
received from Matt Price Recreation Parlor. Commissioner Morey moved
that application be approved by the Board of Commissioners.

Sign application Number 121 asking for permission to erect a
sign on front of building located at 125 South 1burth Street,
received from V1. H. Alexander. Onmotion of Commissioner Spaeth
same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Pafford moved that the Building Inspector be
instructed to issue a building permit to J. N. Simmons for the erection
of a building a t 300 East Pacific Street. Motion adopted.
Mayor Stevenson appointed 11rs . May Belleville Bron as a mem-
ber of the Board of Public Welfare for a term of five years from
May 21st, 1934. On motion of Commissioner Morey the appointment
was confirmed by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
